Why Coaches and Admissions Analysts Work Together
Why Coaches and Admissions Analysts Work TogetherAcademic coaches and admissions consultants often share the opinion that college admissions and confidential admission writers would make an excellent team. These professionals are called upon to help students make up their minds about whether to enroll in the college of their choice. Coaches and advisors are often paired up with admissions counselors who write admission essays. These admissions specialists both have to work together and balance their respective roles as evaluators, judges, and readers. Often times, the admissions writer and the admissions counselor share the same duties and responsibilities. They both are in charge of choosing the best candidate for the college and the candidate should be judged by both the admissions writer and the admissions counselor to the best of their ability. What many applicants, parents, and counselors don't realize is that the two professionals' experiences are not the same. Their roles are ve ry different. Admission writers, for example, generally aren't in charge of making selections for the class. They aren't in charge of selecting the students. Admission writers are typically assigned the task of helping students develop a positive oral essay. Most admissions essay writers aren't involved in the selection process. They are usually assigned to write about the characteristics of the candidates, the reasons for selecting them, and, at the end of the essay, the final decision that has been made. Often times, admissions writers are the selection committee for the classes. This is the role in which they work in conjunction with admissions counselors.Admission counselors on the other hand, are in charge of writing a number of assignments. They are not able to simply write the one best candidate's admission essay. They have to write a lot of different essays in a variety of subject areas. They may also do the hard work of making sure their students' essays are structured and f ormatted well. This combination of roles is enough to generate a strong communication. Both admission writers and admissions counselors are often able to understand the goals and interests of the other. Admission writers know what their students are thinking and how they see the world. Admission counselors know the exact time to sit down and study the admissions essay and write a pre-determined sentence or phrase, followed by a specific point to be emphasized by the final application. There is a high level of trust in a relationship between these two individuals. They make each other accountable. Because of this trust, admission writers have a strong chance of performing effectively. This trust and the teamwork factor lead many high performing teams to triumph.
